Bad start dooms Gators

After falling behind early, VPCC defense goes 50 minutes without surrenduring a goal.

The Gators traveled to Raleigh, N.C., on Aug. 26 and lost 8-0 to Wake Tech Community College, but had just two bad stretches in the game. The Eagles scored three goals in the first eight minutes before VPCC's defense tightened. The Gators then held the hosts scoreless for 50 minutes before giving up five goals in 12 minutes.

The Gators play at the College of Southern Maryland on Friday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m.
